Schedule Details (all times approximate):  

9:30 AM - 4:00 PM - Workshop 

9:30 AM -10:00 AM - Registration (note the hour later time)

10:00 AM -10:30 AM - Business meeting and showing of the images from the previous workshop

10:30 AM -12:00 PM - Presentations, including a coffee and cookie break

12:00 -1:00 PM - Indoor flower set-ups shoot

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM - No-host lunch at Panda Express (or bring your own lunch)

2:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Outdoor flower photo shoot at a location TBD 

We’ll be meeting at our usual location:

Oakmont Retirement Facility, 5301 F Street, Sacramento, 95819

We meet in the ballroom on the third floor.

PROGRAM AND BIOS

Susan Stoll will be showing a variety of botanical images, discussing expected and unexpected elements such as color or line that draw the eye.
For many years, she has been captivated by the intricate patterns and colors found in nature, both flora and fauna.  Her work has been featured in both private and public collections, and photography for her is not only a passion but a way of seeing and sharing the world’s beauty. 

Lynne Ellyn will discuss the definition of “painterly” and how to achieve a painterly look with selective focus, enhancement in Lightroom and Photoshop, equipment to use, and the use of textures to achieve a painterly effect.
Lynne began her photography journey in earnest in 1992, and attended many photography workshops on her favorite subjects (wildlife, horses, Milky Way, and flower photography), completing a post-graduate certificate in photography at the Mid-West Photography Workshops in 2011.  She has taught photography classes and workshops at many places on Milky Way, Equine, and Flower Photography.
