Introduction to Gold Rush
Gold Rush is a chapter of PSA (Photographic Society of America) that has provided quarterly day-long photography presentations in Sacramento for many years. In June
2018, Gold Rush changed its format to offer photography presentations in the morning, a no-host lunch together from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at a local restaurant, followed by photo shoots of subjects as
suggested by the morning program.
Because Gold Rush is a chapter of PSA, membership in the PSA is strongly encouraged, with many benefits of its own, such as an excellent and informative monthly
magazine, a variety of educational programs, and a yearly photography conference--thoughtfully located in photogenic places. You can sign up online or at a Gold Rush program. The cost for a Gold Rush
day pass is $10, an annual membership is $15, and if you join PSA you get a free first year of Gold Rush! We strongly encourage PSA membership for the reasons above, because we are a PSA Chapter, and
PSA membership gives you first choice when we have programs that have limited in participation numbers. The yearly cost of a PSA membership is $45/$65 online/hard copy magazine.
Quarterly Workshops are held at the:
